Born 15 January 1929 in Atlanta, GA (US), Martin Luther King, Jr., merits celebration for his contribution to civil rights in the US and, especially, for his advocacy for non-violence. In the years since his assassination, Rev. King’s stature has grown enomously. I hope that the influence of his ideas on society and world politics will increase exponentially in the future.
