I’m not sure (as in absolutely certain) why I have this blog, but I have some pretty firm hypotheses about the reasons for its existence—else, why would I have created it?
I’d say its primary purpose is to permit me to comment on things that are part of my personal view of the world. I have other sources (see the “other sites” in the navigation element) where I post professional notes and comments; those places aren’t the right spot for me to spout opinions on matters such as politics, science, reason, inquiry, humanism, theism, social phenomena, and such, though.
