Jeffersonians for peace

Every 4 July there is a naturalization ceremony at Monticello, and this year a group of local citizens welcomed the soon-to-be-citizens and others attending the ceremony. They stood along the side of the road between the entry to Monticello and Charlottesville holding banners that displayed quotes from Thomas Jefferson about peace and justice. For example, one read “Peace and Justice should be the polar stars of the American society.” John Frazee collected a set of photos under the heading “Jeffersonians for Peace.”
