C’ville lax

Should that be “C’ville lacks?”

Why, of course not. There are only a few places in the USA where lacrosse (lax, not lacks!) is popular. One of them is my neighborhood, C’ville. In addition to having a successful collegiate team, we have a shipload of kids and community teams.

There are lots of folks who know more about this than do I. To get a start, go to Charlottesville Lacrosse Foundation, a group that provides lots of lacrosse information and sponsors boys’ and girls’ teams. Of course, check the U.Va. team pages for the womens’ (2007 NCAA champions!) and the mens’ teams. As an individual who has known these coaches’ students (and glad to say “hi” to the coaches, too), I’m pleased to note that these coaches’ teams are taught more than lacrosse.

And don’t forget Coach Starsia’s Camps and Coach Myers camps.
