Dylan C’ville

Bob Dylan and his current band played in our neighborhood last night. Amos Lee and his band opened, playing ~six tunes. Elvis Costello followed and played ~ten songs solo; his political-statement songs elicited loud agreement from the audience. Dylan and his five-piece rocked and swung.

I made some incomplete and possibly inaccurate notes about songs:

John Paul Jones Arena
Charlottesville, VA
27 September 2007

  • Leopard-Skin Pillbox Hat
  • Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right
  • Watching the River Flow
  • Tangled up in Blue
  • A Hard Rain’s A-gonna Fall
  • Highway 61 Revisited
  • Spirit on the Water
  • Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again
  • Summer Days
  • Ballad of a Thin Man
  • Thunder on the Mountain [E]
  • All Along the Watchtower [E]

“Ain’t Talkin'” was in there somewhere, too. Please provide corrections.

  1. Love me some Elvis Costello! Sounds like it was a good show. :)
