Perriello today

Tom Perriello will be visiting many areas of Virginia’s Fifth Congressional District today. There’s a rally in Roanoke with Governor Mark Warner (8:00 am – 9:00 am) and then a string of visits by the Perriello Election Express with State Senator Creigh Deeds in Bedford (11:00 am – 12:00 pm), Altavista (1:00 pm – 1:30 pm), and Chatham (2:15 pm – 2:45 pm), followed by stop in Rocky Mount (3:45 pm – 5:00 pm).

The big one, however, is the debate scheduled for this evening. At 7:00 pm, please check one of these sources:

  • WVTF public radio, over the air (89.1: Roanoke & Lynchburg; 88.5: Charlottesville; 89.3: Charlottesville, Waynesboro, Staunton & Harrisonburg; 93.9: Lovingston) or streamed on
  • The Martinsville Daily will stream it at [I erred; the Martinsville Daily did not stream this event. I apologize to both the news source and those of you whom I misled with this misinformation.]
  • Star News television (Cable 18 and WGSR 39)

Meanwhile, over on WMRA Pat and I are recognizing Mr. Perriello for his personal characteristics. He grew up here in the central Virginia area (making it hard to understand his opponent’s “carpetbagger” accusation) and he’s done lots of work for human rights.

Get the scoop from Mr. Perriello’s Web site. And vote for him.
