Red ice

This AM I ran to and from the First Amendment Monument (what a pleasure it is to live in proximity to this spot) and got to experience something for the first time: frozen water atop the brick path. On the roads before I got to C’ville’s downtown mall, I’d encountered lots of slush, some clear pavement, some crunchy surfaces, some ordinary ice, and some black ice. One the mall, though, there were a couple of spots of red ice.

Good news: I didn’t slip and fall on any of it. Run’s done.
